About Kevin
Kevin Cox, Ph.D. serves as Director for The Runway Accelerator and Adams Center for Entrepreneurship at FAU, Senior Instructor of Entrepreneurship, and Lead Instructor for FAU's Tech Runway accelerator. He completed his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from FAU's College of Business and his Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.
Dr. Cox has taught, mentored, and worked with more than 1000 startups, providing expert advice and consultation supporting their survival, growth, and performance. He has published two entrepreneurship training books: The New Venture Launchpad 2.0 and The Fine Art of New Venture Funding, along with more than 20 articles in refereed journal outlets.
His work has been featured in high-quality outlets including Journal of Business Research, Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy, Journal of Social Entrepreneurship, and International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research. Dr. Cox was recently named the State of Florida Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year for 2025, South Florida Business Journal 40 under 40 Business Leaders, and awarded the 2025 Entrepreneurship Practice Award by the Academy of Management.
